  1. So as you know, I had a lot of fun playing with your sustainability site. I think that it has come together really well. I guess my only critique would be that I think it would be really awesome if the site faded out over time instead of just when you hit zero, but that's not even really a critique.

The Hollywood Feed site is looking really good now. I believe the link for Service can be moved down, as right now it is a little close to Locator. I would also fade the paw prints in the content area a little more. Also the transformed text gets a little bit jagged but is still legible, so it doesn't bother me too much.

I am a big fan of the brush strokes in the green area. I would also make the push pins actually sit at different angles just to give the content area a more bulletin board feel. But overall, this site is looking good.

  2. Micheal's comments are right on.

I am not a fan of the paw prints down behind the content area on the subpage.

I would develop more content (such as real product sold by the store).

The left nav seems wonky to me. I would try the four links as PostIt notes or messages pinned to the board. The out-of-alignment text seems too disorganized to me. Try versions of the nav links lined up and then try them as PostIts (or something similar. They just seem out of step (no pun intended) with overall aesthetic.

The Hollywood Feed Promise and Low Price seem too small relative to the rest of the content.

The footer needs to be centered.

All in all, great progress from last week. You are making good use of CSS3!

  3. on your sustainability site:

I love the 'working' computer. Good job of cleaning things up.

I still want you to work with me on creating this idea as a 'shell' or 'frame' for other sites. I think it would only re-enforce the idea of a human powered computer, thus focus the user's awareness on the hidden costs of energy consumption.

  4. Hi Chiao!
    Local Biz site:
I like your new font, good choice. I like the change in the textures. Your design elements seem inconsistent (paw prints, pet silhouettes, green swirls) I'd say pick one, or find a way to make them work together better. Also, small thing, I'd take out the other push pin, or reflect the image so it doesn't look identical.
    Sustain. site:
I love the concept, and I love the way it looks. Good job. The imagery looks a little blocky and flat. The girl character on the side is so cute, the way she moves. If your strengths are in drawing by hand, don't feel like you can't draw and scan in your own imagery.
    Good job, overall! :)
